Hacksaw Gaming
The studio behind Donut Division
Company History
Hacksaw Gaming launched from Sliema, Malta in 2018 under a founding team out of NetEnt and Leander Games. Scratch cards were the first product line; the studio only reoriented around video slots in 2020, and its Swedish design instincts carried over into the polished, cartoon-forward look it is known for now.
Donut Division shows a side of the studio the extreme titles hide. This is a cops-and-donuts comedy built at high volatility, but with a hit landing on close to three spins in ten — frequent base-game action wrapped around big, streaky bonus payouts.
The one-mechanic-per-title rule still applies. Donut Division owns its Gooey Gun wild-spray and the three-life Warehouse Bonus, neither of which is reused elsewhere. The studio operates under MGA and UKGC licences with RNG testing handled by independent labs.
What They Do Best
Row-Spraying Wilds
A Gooey Gun fires Wilds across every position to its left, each carrying its own 1x-100x multiplier. When they land in the same cluster the multipliers multiply — the engine behind Donut Division's 12,500x top end.
Hold-and-Win Warehouse
The Warehouse Bonus runs a three-life counter: dry spins burn lives, any hit refills all three, and flashlight symbols reveal additive and multiplicative values as you go.
Frequent Base Hits
Donut Division pairs a 4/5 volatility profile with a roughly 29% hit rate, so the base game stays busy between its streaky bonus payouts.
Pay-Anywhere Grid
Wins come from 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6×5 grid, drawn portrait-first for phone screens.

Fairness & Licensing
BMM Testlabs certifies the RNG behind Donut Division. The same math model runs in demo and real-money modes, so the 96.30% return, the Gooey Gun multiplier spread, and the pay-anywhere cluster payouts match in both.
Why Donut Division?
Donut Division is the entry point into Hacksaw for anyone who finds 5/5 slots exhausting. The Gooey Gun wild-spray is exclusive to this game, and the Warehouse Bonus and its three-life counter give the bonus a hold-and-win rhythm you feel rather than just watch. At 4/5 with a 12,500x cap, it keeps the studio's multiplier-stacking DNA while a ~29% hit rate softens the harshest 5/5 droughts.
